Q: How do I change the temperature from F to C?
A: To change the temperature from F to C, follow the steps below: "Preference"->"Stat," from there you can change the sensor at will.
Q: Under the option "clean useless binaries," how does the software determine that the binaries chosen are actually useless?
A: The executable files on Macs are in universal binary format files. That means the files may also support the older PPC platform, which is no longer used in Snow Leopard and Lion. As a result, Magican can help you cut binary files in order to save on disk space.
Q: After an initial wipe of other languages, I updated only one app but only half of the languages came back. How do I solve this problem?
A: When removing language packs, the return languages are installed by the app you’ve updated. Click "list icon" to change the languages listed to those available through the app you’ve updated. Then delete selected languages.
Q: I installed Magican, but the items are not in English. What should I do?
A: Magican uses the same language that is used by your Mac. The first step is to change the language on your Mac. To do this, please follow the steps below:
Desktop--> Apple mark-->system preference --->Language and text-->pull English above all languages.
Q: After I run a duplicate program, am I suppose to select which copies I want to get rid off by clicking on the individual files while in triangle view?
A: While cleaning a duplicated file, remove a single file by clicking on the empty box in front of the individual copy you want to get rid of. If you click on triangle view, all copies will be deleted except for the last copied file.
Q: How do I keep the information window displayed in a floating window? Currently it hides itself after a short while, requiring me to hover over the floating mini-palette.
A: Make sure you have the latest version of Magican and then click the thumbtack button in the floating window. This will lock the information window. Remember, Magican can automatically download the latest version when your Mac is connected to the network.
Q: How do I retrieve files I accidentally deleted myself?
A: Currently, we do not have a function that can retrieve such deleted files. This feature will be added to our future versions.
Q: I downloaded Magican but it isn't in English. All the items are in Asiatic characters! What should I do?
A:Please kindly make sure that the first language you set for your Mac is English. If the first language for your Mac is not English, please follow steps below to change it to English:
Desktop--> Apple mark-->system preference --->Language and text-->pull English above all languages
Q: The main window does not appear. What should I do?
A: Please double click the Magican floating window or touch the floating window using two fingers.
Q: I uninstalled Magican but everyday something tries to connect me to your web site. Are any files remaining in my system? How can I remove them?
A: Deleting Magican files from Applications does not remove them completely. Please reinstall Magican and then uninstall it under the "uninstall" icon in the Magican menu bar
Q: Does Magican show all Mac App Store categories?
A: We do have all of the Mac App Store software listed in Magican, but with fewer categories.
Q: After installing Magican and then restarting my computer, it crashes.
A: Magican files are modified by other applications; this problem is not caused by installing Magican.

About Magican File

Q: I've downloaded MagicanFile version 1.1.0 but file changes made in the program do not automatically update e.g. when I add a new folder in the program, it does not appear in the current window. However when I quit and re-open Magican File the changes appear in the open window. The same thing happens when I rename a file/ folder.
A: Magican addressed this problem in version 1.0.0. Please check your Magican version first. If your version is below v1.0.0, please connect your Mac to the network and Magican will automatically download the latest version. Or you can download the latest version of Magican from the official website.
Q: When I create/rename a file/directory inside Magican File I don't see the new file/folder. I need to quit Magican File and open it again in order to see the new file/folder.
A: Magican addressed this problem in version 0.9.80. Please check your Magican version first. If your version is below v0.9.80, please connect your Mac to the network and Magican will automatically download the latest version. Or you can download the latest version of Magican from the official website.

Q: I don’t see any updates for Magican’s older products(Magican Monitor,Magican File, Magican Paster, Magican File Lite or Magican Paster Lite). Is Magican no longer updating these products?
A: Magican has upgraded these products by integrating them into Magican. In addition, many new functions are continually added. You can download Magican for free! Please give us your feedback; it will be taken into consideration during future upgrades.
Q: I’m having trouble with Magican Paster and iMac Lion. When I view programs in full-screen mode (e.g.iTunes, iPhoto, etc.) while Magican Paster is active, I lose control of whichever program I am using in full-screen mode.
A: Magican addressed this problem in version 0.9.63. Please check your Magican version first. If your version is below v0.9.63, please connect your Mac to the network and Magican will automatically download the latest version. Or you can download the latest version of Magican from the official website.
